Ghana: Actress Jackie Appiah Battles Sex Scandal

Following a ‘graphic’ sex scene she acted in an upcoming movie titled Death After Birth, Ghanaian award-winning actress, Jackie Appiah, is being trailed by a barrage a accusations, among which is infidelity.

As a result, I hear the babe is in a serious battle at the moment trying to convince everyone that “nothing happened”.

Days back, gist started spreading like wildfire in Accra and Kumasi that Jackie was indeed having an illicit affair with a radio presenter turned actor, Abeiku Santa. And guess what, this story is causing some heat for the babe at the home front.

Sources in Ghana said the sex scene even caused a fight in the studios of Okay FM as Abeiku and his friend, Kwame Amoo, nearly exchanged blow.

The two were said to have rained invectives on each other over the matter. So in a bid to save her face and possibly her marriage, the woman in the middle of the storm, Jackie Appiah, has denied ever making 'real' love with Abeiku.

In her words: “It was a make believe. We tried our best to make it believable. He is a professional and an interesting person. It was a good experience acting with him. But nothing happened”.

Beat Ghana for free sex – Zambian prostitutes

Reports reaching Finder Sports indicate that prostitutes in some parts of Zambia are once again ready to offer free sex to supporters if the Chipolopolo beat the Ghana Black Stars in Sunday’s 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. It would be recalled that prostitutes in Kalingalinga, Lusaka’s Kanyama, John Laing, Chawama and some parts of the country offered themselves for free sex as part of their celebration after Zambia beat Ghana 1-0 in the semifinals of the 2012 African Cup of Nations held in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

A single prostitute served nearly 11 men and there were more than 200 men waiting to celebrate Zambia’s first qualification to the Africa Cup final since 1994 in style, by cashing in on the free sex. Nightclubs such as Kanyama’s Kanchembele and Chine Chikayeba which served free sex after that great semifinal feat are ready to serve again if only Chris Katongo and his men would silence the Ghanaians for the second time this year.

To these prostitutes, it’s a source of motivation to the supporters to continue cheering the national team anytime they face a tough opponent.

However, some concerned Zambians have suggested to the authorities that since most of the men who patronized these prostitutes had sex without protection, condoms should be made available this time around. With the Black Stars victory over Lesotho, all is set for a showdown in Zambia, but whether the offer by these sex workers will come to fruition, the pitch will decide on June 9 at the newly constructed Levy Mwanawasa Stadium

Sex: Ghana's best-kept secret

In Ghana you can see pensioners romping in adverts and buy roadside sculptures of adult toys, but there's one thing you should never mention – sex

ghana shops

My mother always says that one of her favourite things about Ghana is the fact that most of the women on TV are fat and middle aged. They have pop stars with names like Mama Mary and Queen Mercy. And when it comes to advertising, they are the face of popular products. Take mosquito coils, for example. As you read this, one brand in particular is flying off the shelves thanks to a TV advert in which two 60-somethings cuddle naked in bed. It's the last thing that I – with my years of exposure to British images of glossified young women – am expecting: a casual, everyday reminder that happily married grandparents are at it as well.
